Although being a California native growing up in beautiful Carson, and Compton Robert Earl has always kept close to his families southern roots. His love for people, and for good food has for many years prompted him to demonstrate his talent by cooking different styles of food for his love ones, but his specialty was always his barbecue. Family, friends, and select catering venues were the only people sampling his food back then, but always left them asking for more each time.
Working as a telecommunications technician by day, and serving up competition worthy barbecue by night Robert Earl truly was an underground barbecue pit master. Robert Earl has over a span of 23 years mastered the skills he originally learned from his dearly loved grand father. Being a skilled chef himself Earls grandfather taught him the patience, and precision it took to create some of the best BBQ this side of the Rio Grande. Yep, granddad taught many lessons in that kitchen, but it was through trial, and error both in life, and in the kitchen where Earl understood that love was the most important ingredient in his grandfathers lessons, and with that knowledge he was ready. Now some of the best barbecue in Los Angeles is served up every week at Robert Earls BBQ in long beach.
